1. Keep ~ing
‘keep ~ing’은 일정한 행동이 끊임없이 계속되는 것을 강조하기 때문에, 보통 루틴적인 일상생활에서 자주 사용됩니다.
I keep practicing my guitar every day
매일 기타 연습을 하는 것이 중요하다는 것을 강조합니다.
I keep forgetting her name.
나는 그녀의 이름을 계속 잊어버립니다.
Can you please keep quiet?

She keeps texting me even though I told her I'm busy.

2. Go on ~ing
‘go on ~ing’은 어떤 ‘행동이 지속되는 동안 다른 일도 발생한다’는 것을 나타내는데 주로 사용됩니다.

그가 계속 이야기를 하고 있으면서도 영화를 시도하려 노력한 점을 강조하고 있습니다.
She went on talking for hours without taking a break.
그녀는 쉬지 않고 몇 시간 동안 이야기를 계속했습니다.
The concert went on late into the night.
콘서트는 밤늦게까지 계속되었습니다.
He went on working even though he was feeling sick.

‘keep ~ing’와 비슷한 의미로 사용됩니다.

그녀는 발목을 다치고도 춤을 계속 췄습니다.
We need to continue to fight for equality and justice.

continue를 사용할 때 주의해야 할 점
1) 반드시 ‘to’와 함께 사용해야 합니다.
‘continue’는 뒤에 동사원형을 따라가는 동사입니다. 그러나 그냥 동사원형만 오는 것이 아니라 ‘to’를 포함해야 합니다. 따라서, ‘continue work’가 아니라 ‘continue to work’으로 쓰는 것이 맞습니다.
2) continue to와 continue with의 의미가 다릅니다.(주의)
‘continue to’는 어떤 행동을 계속하며 이어나가는 것을 나타내는 반면, ‘continue with’는 이전에 하던 일을 이어나가는 것을 나타냅니다. 예를 들어, 'I will continue to study English'는 '영어를 계속 공부할 것입니다'라는 뜻이고, 'He decided to continue with his project'는 '그는 자신의 프로젝트를 이어나가기로 결정했다'라는 뜻입니다.
3) continue는 부정형과 의문형에서 사용되지 않습니다.
continue는 긍정문에서 사용되는 동사이므로, 부정문과 의문문에서는 사용되지 않습니다. 대신, ‘not continue’나 ‘do you continue’와 같은 형태로 사용할 수 있습니다.
4) continue와 같은 의미를 가진 다른 동사
keep, carry on, persist, proceed 등이 continue와 비슷한 의미로 사용됩니다.
She kept running despite the pain in her ankle.
그녀는 발목이 아파도 계속해서 달리고 있었다.
He carried on with his business even during difficult times.
그는 어려운 시기에도 자신의 사업을 계속했다.
She persisted in her efforts to learn how to play the guitar.
그녀는 기타 연주를 배우기 위한 노력을 계속했다.
We will proceed with the project as planned.
우리는 계획대로 프로젝트를 계속 진행할 것입니다.
