To fulfill my small dream
These days, learning English may not seem like anything out of the ordinary, but it seems like most of us have challenged ourselves to try studying English at least once in our lives. I, too, am looking to take on this challenge again after leaving my English studies untouched for a long time. I tried to find the notebook where I wrote and collected my English notes from the past, but I couldn't find where I had hidden it. Despite this disappointment, I am determined to start a new, small challenge.
요즘은 특별할 것도 없는 영어 공부지만, 우리의 삶 가운데 한 번쯤 영어 공부에 도전해 본 경험이 한두 번쯤 있는 것 같습니다. 저또한 오랫동안 묵혀 두었던 영어 공부를 하려고 예전에 필기하고 모아 두었던 노트를 찾아보는데,어디에 숨었는지 찾을 길이 없었습니다. 무척 아쉬웠지만, 그럼에도 새롭게 작은 도전을 시작해 보려고 합니다.
As they say, there's a chance we may encounter our limits or even hit a cliff when we start something new, just like the saying "three-day commitment". However, this isn't unique to English study. Whenever we do something, we inevitably face our own laziness and sometimes we just want to relax, lie down, and have fun. I'm not sure about others, but I think I had a tendency to give up too easily and quit in the past.
작심삼일이라는 말도 있듯이 우리가 시작을 하게 되면,반듯이 만나게 될 일이 있습니다. 바로 한계 내지, 절벽을 만나게 된다는 것입니다. 그러나 그것은 비단 영어 공부에만 있는 것이 아닙니다. 모든 일을 할 때 우리가 만나게 되는 것은 바로 나 자신의 나태함과 때로는 게으름이 그만하고 평소처럼 쉬고, 눕고, 놀라고 합니다. 다른 분들은 어떨지 몰라도 저는 너무 쉽게 포기하고, 그만두는 성향이 아니었나 생각합니다.
Moreover, I've become accustomed to giving up when I try too hard to achieve too much at once and end up exhausted. I believe that studying English a little bit every day is crucial. Consistently putting effort into everything, not just English, is unbeatable. You don't have to push yourself too hard, but if you don't give up and practice every day without rest, someday we will stand tall above anyone else and find ourselves in a position that everyone envies. I hope that both you and I can work together to achieve our goals through hard work and dedication.
그리고 한 번에 너무 많이 얻어가려 노력하다가 그만 지쳐버려 포기하는 것에 익숙해져 있습니다. 영어 공부는 조금씩 매일이 참 중요하다고 생각합니다. 영어뿐만 아니라 모든 것에 매일매일 꾸준히 노력하는 것을 이길 수 없습니다. 너무 힘들게 하지 않아도 됩니다. 그렇지만 포기하지 말고 매일을 쉬지 않고 수련한다면, 언젠가 우리는 어느 누구보다 높이 우뚝 서게 될 것이며, 모두가 부러워하는 자리에 있게 될 것입니다. 함께 노력해서 목표를 이뤄내시는 여러분과 제가 되었으면 좋겠습니다.
